Monday, December 1, 2008 @ 11:07 PM * Er.. Yeah.
So.. I feel terribly evil for leaving no posts at all right here, and well, my readers are getting impatient at all. ^^;; *coughs* ...sotong... *coughs* So, well, although nothing much happened, here's a post for you guys. What? I just feel like writing after reading my friend's blog. xDWell... As most of you already know about it, I'm going to Japan for a homestay program on December 13th. So, preparations are for sure. Been spending most of my time in Genting Highland, and my current tuition-free time buying gifts for my host families. T_T You know, one bad thing about having two host families is that you have to buy MORE. =.= I should have only 6 people to buy presents for, but instead, I need to get 12. Darn it...
So, yeah... Speaking about host families, I know most of you already know about it, but repeating it again won't kill you people right? :D I have two host families, and they're both in the Wakayama Prefecture. I'll be staying with the Koshiyama family from December 14th to December 23rd. Then, from 23rd to 25th, I'll be joining a camp, which... I can meet with Chiho and the other YEs [Youth Exchanges] who used to come to Malaysia. It's a really good news, that the other YEs are joining. I was still wondering how I was able to meet with Chiho, after being sent to a place I've never even heard of. x.x So, anyways, after the camp, I'll be staying with the Suzuki family from December 25th to January 4th. After we got back, we've got less than a day to rest ourselves and get ready for the opening of our school. Darn it...
So, mainly that's the schedule for the homestay program. As for families, the Koshiyama family have 6 members, mainly the parents, a son and three daughters. The father's a water construction something something, and the mother's most probably a housewife. The eldest son, Yusuke is currently studying in university, and I don't know what course. The eldest daughter, Ayami is also currently in university, studying comics. Wonderful news. I'm gonna have her draw my favorite anime characters. >:D The second daughter, Reiko is most probably around 15 years old. I'm not really sure, since from the e-mail her father sent me, he said she's entering senior high school next year. She learns brass, so yeah, woodwind player, just like me. *coughs* ...flute... *coughs* I might force her to play some music with me too. xD The youngest daughter is Yukari. You know what's weird? There's this character in a PS2 game [Persona 3] who has a character called Yukari. And I hate her. x.x Other than that, you know the PC game series I've always talked about? The Touhou series. And yeah... My favorite character of all is actually Yukari. x.x So, hearing that the youngest daughter's name was Yukari kind of gave me a weird feeling of mixed hatred and love. xD Anyways, Yukari's entering primary school next year, so she's most probably 6 years old or something.
Alright, enough ranting about the first family. I'll go to the second: Suzuki family. The Suzuki family have 4 members, mainly. But in addition to the grandfather and grandmother, there's a total of 6 as well. So, you know, grandparents + parents = 4 members. And the remaining two members are their two sons. One's Sora, 18 years old, who is also the one who e-mailed me. And one's Towa, 15 years old. Mehh... Would be weird to be sent to a family of mostly boys, but I thought I should 'bersyukur' after I heard form Ivy and Chua about their host families. xD
While the Koshiyama family's staying in Hashimoto, which is actually a town like Klang, but not as busy, I suppose, the Suzuki family is staying near the mountains. So, yeah, more like a village. I'm being sent to a more rural area, at least compared to Ivy and Chua who were sent to Osaka, the huge city. But from Sora's e-mail, he said that we can take the train to Osaka to shop, and well, that seemed pretty convenient. And, people told me it's a good thing being sent to rural areas instead of cities, cause that's what homestay programs are supposed to be about. Well, I agree. But, I heard from one of the committee member in Lion Club about this. She was sent to a rural area in Japan as well, and guess what? ALL the people there greeted her like she's a celebrity, and the mayor even came to visit her, and she's on newspapers. xD Well, that seemed shocking if its going to happen to me. And well, I hope not. x.x
Alright, so my ranting on the families and the locations are done, now onto some other topics. xD Just got Photoshop up in this laptop, so I'm using it quite often these days, except tuitions and other schedules just keep interrupting. x.x I was going to use this chance to make your icons and such. But... It seemed that Photoshop lagging + Useless laptop + Busy = Less opportunity to use Photoshop. T_T But anyways, I made one Christmas one for Sherene already, and well, she seemed to like it. x3 So, I thought I might as well do those to replace the icons I was supposed to make for my top readers. Cause, if it's like that, I don't have to do another one for Sherene already. xD
Okay, besides the homestay and the Photoshop business, I think I have other stuffs to rant about. I've been hearing those sort of conversations with my family again. T_T You know, the future career stuffs. I really don't know what should I take. I wanted to master English, but I know, that's not the best choice for me. I love to write, but I definitely can't be a writer, for several reasons. And now that I thought about it, I didn't seem to fit to be writer, at all. Other than that, I've considered being a lawyer, since everyone around me seemed to persist me a lot, to take this path. But... No, lawyer isn't my thing. And, I've considered studying Psychology too. It seems fun during the studying process, but I know, I wouldn't enjoy the working part much. Not because the people I'm talking to are weird, but that... I don't really like to work with people, if you get what I mean. I don't know how to advise, I don't know what should I do when people share their problems with me. So, meh... Psychology's a no-no. I've considered being those sort of Advertising Executive as well. But read about them, and no, not my taste. x.x I used to be interested in Microbiology, but now that I knew what Biology's about, I don't think I can take it.
The only choice I have left: Pharmacists. Yes, Pharmacy is a mix of Biology and Chemistry. And I must admit, I enjoy Chemistry, if you want me to compare among the three main Science subjects. And for Biology, well, I think I can cope with it. But what I'm interested in being is: a lab pharmacist. You know, those people who make medicines. I don't know, I don't like working with people, and researching seems to be okay for me. I really don't know... x.x
Alright, ranting about future career: done. What more to say? I really don't know. And I know I can't stay on anymore. My maid's gonna nag for the whole night if I do. >>;; Sherene and Hng and the others must be enjoying themselves right now in PD [Port Dickson]. Mehh.. Go enjoy, you people! But don't forget about the little gathering in my house this Saturday! :3
Oh, and, by the way, congrats to MOST of the SPM students, SPM's OVER!! Hooray for you, but boo-hoo for us: the bunch of people who are next to suffer. ;_;
