Thursday, August 21, 2008 @ 11:16 PM * The Wonders of RPG
Another post of the introduction about my roleplaying life. People who are close to me all knew about RP[Roleplay], mostly because of my constant mentioning about RP. First of all, by RPG, yes, I do mean Role Play Games. But, beware, it does not go by the meaning of the RPG-genre of video games. Roleplaying is like writing a story. A person starts a story with his/her own created character(s) and you continue the story with your own character(s). It's fun, actually, if you enjoy imagining stories by your own. It's a wonderful hobby for you to apply your imaginations into words and share them with people all around the world. =)I've started roleplaying since I was 12, and back then, I love the idea of roleplaying. Everytime I had my eyes on a new anime, I began to grew obsessed about them and think of them all day long. You know what I'm thinking? Well, if I am a character in that anime, what sort of character will I play! And from that, it leads to more stories and thus, a new story is born! So, when I heard of roleplaying through the anime forums I joined, I started to read other RPGs more often. I got used to the way of roleplaying, and so I started to RP as well. Firstly, I did RPGs based off animes and games I know. It's like doing a new story from the anime or game. It was so darn fun.
However, RPing life doesn't usually stay long. People often got bored of RPing and stop. I did that too myself. I would RP for like half a year, and stop for a couple of months, and start to RP again. That is what RPers call 'roleplay blues'. xD Or at least I do. So, that concludes most of the introduction about roleplays.
Next off, I wanna 'show-off' of a new RPG I just thought of recently. It's a fantasy RPG, about a knight sent by the kingdom to search for the long lost princess. The princess is said to have powers that can affect the whole universe, so other kingdoms also seek for this princess. The knight met his obstructions and hardships as well, and so the RPG is something like this. My character, which is the knight, is a cat in truth. With magic, the cat is given a human form, and was granted with human knowledge as well, etc. So... I wanted someone to join in, as either another magic-user my character meet with, or the real princess. Though I prefer for the first choice. But either way, you're not the person whom I was going to RP with so lets skip that part. =P
So... This is the 'show-off'. Hehe.

The search for the princess has yet to fruit. This 2-year journey had already took away 4 of my 9 lives. And today, I've just about to lose my fifth. As blood dripped from my wounded neck, I walk, not knowing where my path will lead me to. I was discovered by them, no matter how hard I try to conceal my identity. I have got to hide, somewhere. A sanctuary that can keep me hidden for at least a few days, until my wounds heal...
Shit!
I rolled myself into the bush nearby, nicely tamed in the lawn of a small house. Hidden within the shadows, my feline sight searched for the black bird flying across the skies. Ravens. Worse of all bird breeds. They camouflaged themselves perfectly well during the night and slyly ambush on their enemies when caught off guard. Ugh... No matter. The black fur on my skin covered myself pretty well. There it was, sitting on the branch of the tree in front of me, waiting silently for my carelessness to occur. Pitiful of the raven. It doesn't know that its luck was about to end soon enough, when this little feline finished it off with a little shadow.
I was ready. So ready that my heart was thumping louder than my breath, to rid of the raven that left me this irritating wound on my neck. I brought up my little black paw, careful not to raise any suspicious sounds. My feline lips moved, not in a cat's way, but sort of human-ish, as if speaking words of a human. The shadows of the branches extended to cover most of the tree.
Shadows are perfect for protection and ambush, they make no sound to distract attention. That's why, my chosen element was shadow, and always will be.
The raven's ignorance was amusing. No wonder they said birds have small minds, it thought it was supposed to be the offensive one, while I'm on defense. Think again, birdie. A feline is never on defense nor offense, we're always on the track of victory no matter what. Shadows extended until the weak claws of the raven, silently gripping it with its invisible force.
Finally, the raven took notice of the ambush. The feline smirked, releasing the shadow until it covered all of the raven. The struggles of the raven was useless. Nothing can possibly break my shadow, unless for some impossible circumstances. The raven could feel, now, that an invisible hand was gripping it. It choked, unable to breath through its squeezed lungs. The white teeth of the feline shone through the darkness around the bush, and the raven finally discovered its position.
The raven struggled more, and its head broke free from the shadows. The raven let out a loud and sharp cry, penetrating the nocturnal silence of the area. Its wings began to regain its freedom, breaking apart the shadow grip. Damn it. Without any second thoughts, or rather, just thoughts, I turned to run. It found me. The damned bird found me.
I ran into the another bush and the raven followed, trying to attack me from the outside. I lowered my body to the ground, my yellow eyes locked on the raging raven. Even if a cat outstand a raven, at this point, I'm totally useless. The raven has all the advantages now. What to do now? If I don't act soon, the damned bird is going to get to me. I once again raised my paw, about to use my skills again to protect myself.
A voice joined into the noise. The sound of the raven rustling the leaves of the bush was covered, by the voice of a young girl. "Scram, bird. Scram!" Her voice echoed through my mind. I knew, she was my savior. My fifth life is protected. The raven had no choice but to surrender itself, and flew away into the dark skies away. But I know better than to think I've won, because I've just lost. The raven was still around here somewhere, but for now, I needed rest. Revealing myself to the human would be the best choice. Plus, I get to have a free place to stay for the night if the human is kind enough.
The feline acted. It walked slowly from the bush, into the brighter area where the source of the light was from the streetlamp nearby. The human girl was seen tidying the messed up leaves. The feline meowed, and let its dripping blood shone as the light was reflected from the blood, to the girl's eyes.
