There Goes Another Day of...FUN!

Yes. If you can actually see the title, you'll know what this post is gonna be like. But you can't. So, you're forced to read this. =P

Around a month or two ago, Chua and I were given an...assignment to do. It is to translate some old Chinese passage into modern day Chinese. The first few groups who did it only have to read out their translations. And every time they do that, almost half of the class fell asleep. So, our Chinese teacher found that the method she was using isn't really effective. So, she came up with an idea before Chua and I are supposed to...'present' our assignment.

She decided that each group should have more members[one group used to have only 2 members] and that we should make this assignment better, more interesting. So, she suggested ways for us to present our translations. One, drama. Two, slide shows. Three, mahjong paper. So, the first team who actually have to do something like this was Hian Ee's group[class pres.]. And, their drama was entertaining. Inspired by this, Siao[who was added into our group along with Hng] told me that we should have an even more interesting drama!

So, her determination brought us what we have today. Actually, she was not the only one who is determined. =P We are all determined, so don't think you're all that great, Siao. =D We gathered the translations today, and we started to work on the casting list. If you guys really want to know about it, the 文言文 is about some people being very fair and just. <.<

And, this is the list:

1st Story
晋平公 - Siao
祁黄羊 - Ling
解狐 - Soon Kia
祁午 - Hng
孔子 - Hui [Yin Hui if you remember]
Narrator - Chua

2nd Story
腹憞 - Chua
秦惠文 - Siao
儿子 - Hng
官吏 - Ling
被杀者 - Hui
Narrator - Ky Lee

So, basically, for the first story, this is how things go:
[ I'm gonna use the actresses and actor's names to replace the real names in the story, cause typing Chinese is just too much trouble. =P ]

Siao is feeling very troubled these days. There was no 'leader' or some sort in the area of Nanyang. Just then, Ling went to greet the troubled king. Siao asked Ling of who was capable to be the 'leader' of Nanyang. Ling thought for a while and said Soon Kia. But Siao curiously asked Ling, that Soon Kia is Ling's rival. But Ling said to Siao, that what Siao asked was who was capable of being the leader, not who Ling's rival is. Then, Siao decided to make Soon Kia the leader of Nanyang, awarding him with the title.

Then, Siao was troubled again one day. She was walking through this corridor, and Ling was on the opposite side. Ling greeted the king once again, and Siao asked her again, that who was capable of being the leader of the army for their own kingdom. Ling answered that Hng should be the one. Siao asked Ling again, that Hng was supposed to be her son. [That sounded so wrong. xP] But Ling said the same thing back to Siao, that what Siao was asking was not her son, but the person capable of that position. In the end, Siao agreed with Ling's decision. Just then, Hui heard of this and she praised Ling of her fairness and justice. The end. =D

Complicating? I supposed it is, for the characters. Sorry. But hope you'll get an image of it. xD So, the funny part started when Siao and I did the first scene. The part where I greet the troubled emperor. Because, I supposed I was too nervous at some point, I shouted when I said, "参见皇上." All I see in front of me is a smiling Siao who was resisting to laugh, and so I did the same, trying to hold back my laughter. xD I knelt on the floor, and Siao was supposedly happy that I would do that for her. xP I dunno. But I enjoy my role cause I get to swipe around my paper fan! xD Like Zhu Ge Liang. xDDD

Okay, so the first story proceeds okay. But here's the second one:

Hng murdered Hui just because Hui stole Hng's mango. [xD This was added purely to create a funny atmosphere around the class. ] And so, Hng became a criminal. However, Siao decided not to kill Hng, and brought in Chua. Chua was Hng's father, by the way. Siao told Chua that she decided not to kill Hng because Chua is old, and she only has one child. If Siao were to kill Hng, then Chua will have no other people to depend on at such an old age.

But Chua rejected Siao's kindness. Chua said that according to the 墨子's rules, one who murdered people should be sentenced to death, and one who hurt people should be punished. And because of these rules, the citizens of the world are able to live like this. Then, how can Chua not follow the rules? So, in the end, she told Siao to execute Hng. So, Siao ordered Ling to start the 'killing ceremony'. xD And finally, Hng's head was chopped off my Ling. =D The end.

So, this one's funny during the starting. Hng and Hui entered the scene. Hui was taking a stroll while Hng suddenly ambushed from the back, holding a plastic cake knife. xD She threatened Hui, because Hui stole her mango. xD That was something we added on our own. It's not in the original passage so don't blame our ancestors for the silliness. =P So, I guess the whole class did give a huge reaction to this scene as Hng stabbed Hui shouting, "Get to hell and eat all the mangoes you want!!" xD The whole class applauded for this. We got very excited too. [This proves that children these days are violent. *nods*]

Okay... I'm gonna stop here for today. Sorry, guys. To just suddenly end this post. I've used 30 minutes to type this and now I'm sleepy. @_@ But before I go, enjoy the roleplay post! My reply to Rosette's:

The feline eyed the girl's movements when she tried to

remove his paw prints on the couch, never really minding
much that he was causing trouble to others. It was a
troublesome thing too, the fact that her parents doesn't seem
to enjoy the company of animals, especially cats. But, her
room seemed fine, although the space was little, it's enough
for him to rest there. When she told him about his 'fate'
tomorrow if he were to sleep down here as he wished, he
almost laughed. Dead? He would like to see how they do it.
Kill a cat, that is. He allowed himself to be carried up by her,
and brought around. He is a cat, of course he wanted to be
touched and rubbed by other humans. However, the way that
she was always calling him Mr. Kitty irritated him. It sounded
so weak.

"On the contrary, I have a name, and it's not Mr.
Kitty." He said, turning up to see her, while being carried
by her. "It's Coren. And please use my name and not
that, ugh, Mr. Kitty. It's like... You're classifying me along with
those filthy kittens by the streets." He said, turning his
little head back to the front and looked at the path she was
bringing him. Maybe he would need two days to rest, for his
wounds to heal completely, then he will leave again. It's best
not to start any lasting friendship with someone, including
this girl.

After he introduced himself to the human girl, he started to
think about her question. Should he answer her with the
appropriate answer? Or should he just leave it there? He did
expose his identity to her, by talking. She should know by
now that he was no ordinary kitten, but a knight from a
powerful kingdom in some other dimension. Oh well, what's
the harm? Before he leave, he could always use a little
magic to wipe her memories off. Let the human discover
something big for now, and have her totally lost about it later
on. Cool plan.

"A kingdom by the name Atylia. It's not in your world so
don't even bother to check it out in the...what map was that?
Some human's name... At- something. Oh, whatever. You get
what I mean." He was in the human dimension for 2
years now, it was no surprise that he kind of learn something
about the humans, and their ways of living. Coren laid his
head down on her palm later on, feeling tired every second.
It's been days since he last rested, he really needed this
'sanctuary' and tonight's good sleep. Yawning, it ended up
something like a small meow, before he hear someone at
the door, the doorknob turning, and footsteps entering...
